๐Ÿถ Dog allergies on the rise

PLUS OpenAI's new chatbot (scary good)

GM. This is Work "After" Work, the newsletter that gives you the answers surrounding trends and businesses. Like a Chegg account, but we don't charge $15/mo.

It's Friday, let's boogie:

  • ๐Ÿถ Dog allergies on the rise

  • ๐Ÿค– OpenAI's new chatbot

  • ๐Ÿ˜‚ Meme of the day

WANT TO HAVE A KID? NO, LET'S GET A DOG

Dogs are some of the most beloved pets in America. From poodles to golden retrievers, it seems like every family in America has a dog.

And, turns out this is not too much of an overstatement.

According to recent surveys and multifamily data, the number of U.S. households with pets (84 million) is now more than double the number of homes with children (35 million).

This is the pet takeover.

I mean.. who can resist these cuties? ๐Ÿ˜Š

Unfortunately, our four-legged friends suffer from one big problem: allergies.

Several experts believe that up to 20% of all dogs will develop allergies over their life.

With the number of dogs increasing in households and their allergies present, it's no surprise that searches for dog allergy tests are on the rise.

Here's one way to profit from this growing trend.

1. Working with Vets

When a dog is suffering from allergies, owners go to people they trust the most: vets.

The problem? A vet visit can be expensive with the average dog "physical" costing $100-$300.

What if there was a way to accurately diagnose the allergy issue and then provide a product that will help reduce or remove the allergic reaction all together..without ever having to go to the vet?

Enter, the pet allergy portal. The "Paw Portal" if you will.

High-Level Overview
It starts with a detailed questionnaire and ends with product recommendations and affiliate links.

Instead of customers scrolling on websites for products they think will fit their dog, with some research and maybe contacting a few veterinarians, provide a quick and easy quiz dog owner's can take to diagnose the allergy and a product to help!

It's free to the customer and it would help millions of dogs with allergies all around the world, a win-win.

A Perfect Example
Let's say you have a dog that's experiencing stomach problems and based on the questionnaire, it determines you should switch to a more organic food that doesn't have nitrates and a high sodium content.

Through the data you input like the breed, weight, and age of your dog the quiz pops out two specific vet-approved dog foods you can order that have been proven to help. Every time a customer buys a product with your link, you get a cut of the sale.

With searches for dog allergy products like food and shampoo rapidly increasing, this is a great market to go after.

OPENAI CHAT ๐Ÿค–

I don't usually include another section, but this is too good not to include.

Yesterday OpenAI put out their new chatbot that can answer any question you ask it.

Yeah really, it's nuts!

In Work "After" Work fashion I asked it what the quickest way to make a million dollars was. Here's what it said:

... I guess winning the lottery is true! ๐Ÿ˜‚

Crazy how fast AI is developing. If you're interested in more AI, I wrote a newsletter about new AI technologies that are out and specific billion dollar businesses you can build with it!

Also, here's a tweet for any of my college folks. Thank me later.

MEME OF THE DAY

That's one way to do it ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚
