GM. This is Work "After" Work, the newsletter that acts as your Flonase - clearing up any stuffy business allergies you have.
Here’s how we’re starting the week:
💻 Google’s UA ➡️ GA4
😂 Meme of the day
GOOGLE’S BIG SHIFT
Making a lot of money doesn’t have to be hard. You just need the right opportunities to present themselves and today, I have that opportunity.
Right now there’s a huge issue going on. Google is going from Universal Analytics (UA) to Google Analytics 4 (GA4) in 5 days.
This may not sound like a big deal but it means companies are going to lose all their data tracking capabilities if they don’t migrate over.
Countless hours will have to be spent migrating to GA4 and when 55% of all websites use Google Analytics, you realize it’s going to require a ton of manpower. There’s no ‘migrate all’ button.
GA4 is a new software no one has mastered and a ton of businesses frankly don’t have the time to learn and do it themselves. It takes time to migrate everything over.
Think about all the data points online stores need to track:
Views per page (ex: women’s clothing vs men's clothing)
Clicks per item
Ad metrics
How far a customer got through a sales process
How many incremental sales a 10% OFF coupon generated
You get the gist.
To give you an idea of how long it could take companies.. Bard says 6-12 months depending on how customized and complex their reports are 👀
Online businesses are in need of a hero to hold their hand through this process.. And I think you could easily make $500,000 over the next 6 months if you’re the one to do it.
But before I hop into how I think it’s important to understand why this big shift is happening in the first place and it sums up to one word: regulation.
See new privacy laws state the site that serves the ads (Google) can no longer also track the users on 3rd party websites. So Google, the biggest ad publisher in the world, can no longer give GA users exact analytics, it’s more like an educated guess.
And people are not happy about it.

The thing is. It doesn't matter if people don’t like it. Google is still going to do whatever they want.
If businesses want to make money and see insights, they need to migrate over to GA4. And it’s not just one click of a button.
Nobody knows how to migrate from UA to GA4. Company analytics are about to explode. In 5 days, no more analytics - wave bye, bye. 👋
Be the knight in shining armor businesses need right now.
Here’s how in 2 steps:
1. Learn how to migrate from Universal Analytics to Google Analytics 4
Go on YouTube, watch tutorials, read blog posts, and dive into the problem so when you talk to customers they have confidence you know what you’re doing.
Create a GA4 account, play around a little bit, get comfortable, ask any business folks in your circle if they’ve done it, or reach out to interesting people on Twitter talking about it.
When you secure a client and you get stuck don’t forget Google’s AI chatbot, Bard is a wizard and can get you out of most jams.
2. Get customers
Be the GA4 expert, put a ton of free content on TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, and tell business owners “I will handle your migration for you.”
Cold email every business owner you can find. Great companies to look for are e-commerce or SaaS businesses who rely heavily on analytics.
“Do you want help migrating over to GA4? I’ll do the whole thing for you, turn-key for $1,500.”
If it’s a complex Saas company, charge $5,000 like this guy.
You do the job, audit the data in GA4 to make sure it’s set up correctly, then be on your merry way. And if you play your cards right, set up a monthly retainer to have you on standby if anything comes up in the future 😏
As we know from The Office, a pros and cons list is vital - let’s write one
Pros:
You’re going to meet a ton of business owners, who you can learn or work for in the future
You’re going to learn a skill that can make you millions if you choose to build an agency out of it and hire employees down the line
Cons:
You’ll need to learn the new software - this will take time and most likely be frustrating
You’ll have to deal with demanding customers who expect everything done quickly and correctly
Every business has its pros and cons but if one things for sure, it’s that this service can and will work if you put the effort in. Businesses are in need and will pay you to make this problem go away.
