a simple but valuable side hustle

GM. This is Work "After" Work, the newsletter that teaches you how to euro-step your way through the competition in the world of business.

Here's how we're starting the week:

  • πŸ“Έ Make money by helping creators

  • πŸ˜‚ Meme of the day

CREATORS NEED YOUR HELP AND THEY DON'T EVEN KNOW IT!

"With what?" You may ask. With pushing their content to all the big social media platforms.

There are a ton of creators out there that miss out on thousands, if not millions of followers every day because they're only on 1 or 2 platforms when they could be posting the same video elsewhere and growing their follower count.

Why don't a lot of creators do this? Sounds easy enough.Because it's time consuming.

If you make a TikTok and want to post it to Facebook you have to download your TikTok, upload it to somewhere like snaptik.app to remove the watermark, download it again, then upload it to Facebook, caption it and post it.

This might seem easy, but when you have to do the same thing for 4 to 5 other platforms, it sucks.

Here are the other platforms creators are now getting on:

  • YouTube

  • Pinterest

  • LinkedIn

  • Instagram

  • Snapchat

There are 2 big side hustle ideas here:

#1 Take Smaller YouTubers who aren't making short-form content, slice up their videos, and post TikToks, Reels, Shorts, etc. to grow their following.

#2 Help TikTokers post their content to all the social media platforms listed above.

You'll be shocked at how many creators just don't know how important it is to push both forms of content (long and short form) on all the big platforms.

How are you going to get creators to say yes to this?By coming to them with examples of what you can do, showing them all the time you'll save, and how this is going to increase their follower count.

HERE'S HOW TO DO IT

1. Find the right creator

Who is the right creator? One who has a small but decent following, maybe 20-40k on YouTube. Most likely still a one-person team who could use the extra hand.

I guarantee a lot of content creators out there are looking for someone to repurpose their content. All you need to do is get in their inbox.

I've been creating content for over 2 years and to this day I haven't gotten one email from someone showing me an example of how they cut up my YouTube videos and put them into nice short form clips for TikTok because if I had, they'd be hired!

So when you're choosing who to reach out to, obviously, I wouldn't reach out to only big timers like Mr. Beast.

They most likely won't respond because they're already so big and have teams around them doing this work.

Or they'll take a millennium to respond because their inboxes are overloaded.

Start smaller, try a YouTuber you notice doesn't have a presence on TikTok, Reels, or Shorts. They're the best ones to go for because you'll be providing them the most value!

2. Learn a little iMovie

Why iMovie? Well for one it's free, and two, my 4 year old cousin could do it. No really, iMovie has a recommended age usage of 4+ on the app store πŸ˜†

All you have to do is drag and drop πŸ‘€

Plus, there's tons of tutorials online you can learn from. There's no reason to buy a premium editing software like Adobe Premiere Pro that costs $20/mo until you get good and start making money.

3. Reach out

Find the creator's business email - it's usually in their Insta or TikTok bio.

Write them an email - and don't just say what you can do. Talk is cheap. Show them what you can do! Take an interesting part of one of their YouTube videos, cut it up, and include it.

Tell them you can post it as a YouTube Short, Instagram Reel, Snapchat Story, Facebook Reel... whatever platform they want to start growing on.

They're way more likely to respond when you put in the effort upfront and show proof of concept. Trust me, this goes a long way.

Feel like emailing someone would be nerve racking? I got you.

Here's an email you can copy and paste to your favorite content creator to try and land this side hustle.

Subject: I can help grow your follower count

Body: Hi [Name],

I love your channel and I think your videos would kill on Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok! Here's a clip I edited from your YouTube video. Take a look: [insert clip]

If you liked that clip, awesome! I want to help you grow your TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest audiences so you can get more sponsor deals. Here's my number: 123-456-7890.

Excited to hear back about possibly working together!

Thanks,Faares

If they like the clip, they'll respond... that was easy!

DOWN THE LINE

When you land this gig, not only would you be making money, but you'd also be working with influencers who have connections with big brands and know the space.

So if you ever wanted to start doing your own thing. A brand deal and someone who can guide you would only be a phone call away.

Not to mention you'll probably be working with like-minded individuals, which make you better.

And who knows, maybe this gets bigger than just you. Work picks up and you suddenly have too many clients to handle. You hire someone and then my friend, you just started an agency.

A business that can literally make you 7 figures. Now that's a lot of zeros πŸ€‘

MEME OF THE DAY

Up 35% this past month.. Is this the next bull run? I'm skeptical with everything going on but we'll see!

That's all I got for ya today folks!
