ANIMAL YOGA

Like Yoga? You’re not alone.

300 million people across the globe share this passion.

This r/Yoga subreddit channel alone has 2.7M members and is growing.

Here’s another question. Like animal yoga? Yeah, that wasn’t a typo.

Check out this search volume for “Puppy Yoga” 👀

Volume has dropped a bit but I’m thinking that’s because summer has ended. Turns out moving like animals, except for sloths, of course, has gained extreme popularity.

And it’s healthy too.

Moving like animals:

It’s no wonder this “primal movement” trend has grown 120% YoY.

So what are some businesses you can start to ride this massive wave? I’ve got 3:

Idea 1: Provide yoga classes with puppies

We all know how popular goat yoga has gotten since its inception in 2017. There are now over 500 goat yoga businesses.

But it looks like there’s a nice sheriff in town: cute puppies.

Similar to how yoga classes work today, do these sessions in yoga studios or outdoor community areas like parks.

$20/person with a 100 participant max is what the Arizona Goat Yoga company does. That’s $2,000 for one session if you have a full class.

Or provide this as a mobile service if a client is willing to pay for a private session.

Idea 2: Become a certification training company

Certification companies are great for 2 big reasons:

  • Extremely high margin - once you get the training set up it’s rinse and repeat

  • Recurring revenue - certifications often require periodic renewals (aka if an animal yoga company wants to be “Animālam Yoga” certified make them do this every year)

Teach instructors the newfound art of “primal movement” and how it’s done. This means you’ll first have to get some training yourself. A small price to pay for a big business opportunity.

A good way to start this:
Be the “animal movement yoga person” on TikTok. You’ll give away all your content for free but if someone wants to start their own company for this, since you’ll build credibility, you can charge for your company's certification.

Plus, an added benefit, if you become popular you can get brand deals (and these pay a lot believe me).

Idea 3: Get the yogis and animals fitted out

You know what’s adorable? When you and your pet match.

Exhibit A 😂

Now imagine this with Yoga.

(yes I made this with AI 😂)

People love animals, sometimes even more than humans. This a huge market and it’s clear based off my Amazon search for “matching dog and owner outfits”.

So which business would I start?

Idea #1: Yoga classes with puppies

That’s because I see a clear path for how you can pull this off.

#1 Get customers

Social media will be your biggest winner. Here are 4 must do’s:

  1. Post short-form videos (tiktoks/reels/shorts) showing your fun yoga classes with cute puppies on people’s backs and licking their faces

  2. Use the hashtags #puppyyoga #primalmovement to make sure relevant people find your content

  3. Collab with pet creators

  4. Run ads targeted in your local area to attract interest

Besides social media, you can also target big companies for corporate events doing team building or wellness exercises. Or target:

  1. Birthday parties

  2. Bachelorette parties

#2 Get your yoga space

Almost all yoga studios can be rented out. You just have to ensure the numbers make sense. You have to make more from the session than the rent cost.

Near me, I found a big fitness studio for $50-$115/hr.

I’d just go outdoors and do this in a public field or park. Set up some small fences you can post in the ground so the puppies can’t escape and do it for free.

#3 Partner with local animal shelters

This business requires puppies. And you know what animal shelters need people to adopt? Puppies!

You can offer cross-promotion where you get the puppies for free to promote their adoption if any of your yogis want to take a special furry friend home!

Honestly, it’s a great way to not only help decrease costs but help out your community as well since animal shelters are at record highs.

And that’s all I got! As always, let me know if you have any questions. Happy hustling! 💪
