WASHING YOUR WAY INTO HUNDREDS EVERY WEEK

Today, we're diving into the exciting yet grimey world of power washing.

You're finally going to live the reality of those Mr. Clean commercials by transforming dirty driveways and sidewalks into something that looks freshly poured.

Why is power washing a great side hustle? It's a service that is always in demand. Whether it's a dirty driveway, a grimy sidewalk, or a stained parking lot, there's always someone out there who needs their outdoor surfaces cleaned.

Plus, it's a relatively easy job to get into - all you need is a power washer and some basic training, and you're good to go!

How much money can you make? It's going to depend on where you live and how much work you actually have to do but generally speaking, you can expect to charge anywhere from $50 to $200 per job.

And I'll even show you how some savvy hustlers are making thousands doing this!

Let's jump into the nitty gritty.

HERE'S HOW TO GET STARTED

1. Snag some power washers

You'll want to buy two power washers.

One will be your ordinary nozzle power washer like this:

It will help get in the nooks and cranny's of sidewalks and driveways.

The other will be a "surface cleaner" pressure washer. It's sole purpose is to clean big surfaces in a short amount of time because the nozzle would take forever.

Check Facebook marketplace for used cheaper options instead of buying new because these can run you $100-$300.

2. Train yourself

You want to do a quality job when you start getting customers.

Lucky for us, the internet exists and you can pretty much learn anything you want to on the web for free.

Here's a YouTube video on how to power wash concrete driveways. It's pretty easy just practice on your own driveway before you go out on your first job.

3. Post your content on YouTube and TikTok

Every job you do bring a tripod and a GoPro to record it.

#powerwashing is huge on TikTok with 1.4 billion views. You can grow a large following by posting a timelapse of your job that creates a satisfying transformation.

Then start a YouTube channel and include a link to it in your bio and you'll start to grow a pretty sizable channel just from this.

Don't believe me? Check this out!

Here's a video that has 700k views. It's about the simplest video ever. It's silent, plays at 2-3x speed, and in post-editing overlays himself talking.

There are even channels that do the service for free just for the content and make a substantial amount of money on YouTube doing so.

SB Power Washing - a channel that does only free power washes has over 5M views, 90k subscribers, and makes over $20k a year!

Check out how fast this channel is growing πŸ‘€ (50k+ subs in 6 months)

Even this channel "The H20 Sho" started posting videos 5 months ago and now has over 7k subscribers and is projected to make $9,000 a year!

4. Get customers

Take a drive around your neighborhood and look at people's driveways and sidewalks. You'll start to notice how dirty and neglected some of them are.

You know what can give a home 5 to 11% more value?Curb appeal! Meaning if someone is planning to sell their home in the future or rent it out on Airbnb, those sidewalks and driveways better be clean.

Go knocking door-to-door and ask homeowners if they'd like their property spruced up.

Maybe bring a pamphlet with you that shows the difference your machines can make on a dirty driveway.

It's not only homeowners you can go after. Try:

  • Gas stations

  • Strip malls - cleaner parking lots give a fresher feel and encourage more repeat customers

  • Parking garages - a cleaner facility means they can charge more

  • Apartment complexes - a cleaner appearance means more interested renters

I've also read that Facebook ads do really well and if you do a job for someone in a different neighborhood, see if they'll refer you to others or put you in their Facebook subdivision group.

Power washing may not be the most glamorous side hustle out there, but there's no doubt it's a practical way to earn a decent amount of money. And who knows, you may even enjoy it.

Now go out there and make some dirty money! πŸ‘Š

AN EXTRA SIDE HUSTLE FROM YA BOY πŸ‘€
