JUICE 'EM N EARN πŸ‹

If you live in a big city or you're in college, you know exactly what Lime & Bird Scooters are - these things:

I mean how else do you get to IHOP at 2am?

Ever think about how these scooters get charged? They're always just waiting for you fully charged.

Turns out there's someone every night that collects the dead ones and brings them home to charge, then drops them back off for your morning trip.

You never knew they were there. Kinda like my crypto portfolio πŸ˜…

They call them "juicers" for Lime and on average earn $8 for every scooter they charge. *this equates to $20 - $30 per hour*

This side hustle also takes no thought so if your brain is fried from school or you had a long day at work, this is the perfect mundane task to make some extra side income.

Plus, since the scooters are picked up at night and charged at your place, you can make money while you sleep and you know how much I love that πŸ˜Ž

If you have a pickup truck, SUV, or can do some scooter acrobatics (it’s a real thing) you pick up multiple scooters and make up to $80 a day with this hustle!

HOW CAN YOU CHARGE AND EARN?

1. Download the app

This whole gig is pretty simple, and this is the simplest part.

There are a few requirements before you sign up, though. You must:

  • Be 18 years old

  • Have a vehicle (preferably on the large side)

  • Have a valid driver’s license

If you meet these, download the respective scooter app and click on the "become a charger" option.

Your response time will depend on the need and demand in your area but once they get back to you, you'll complete a "How to Juice" course, set up your tax info, buy your chargers ($19 a piece but I've found after market ones for ~$14) and you're ready to go.

2.  Get juicin

Next, is the fun part! If you're the overly competitive cousin during the family Easter Egg Hunts or love Pirates of the Caribbean, you might enjoy this.

In the app, it'll show you a map of where the dead scooters are and you have to find them. Sometimes they'll be lying behind cars or trash cans, you gotta find them. It's like a treasure hunt - so bring a flashlight!

When you do find one, scan it's QR code so Lime can take it off the map, then collect more.

Once you've round up your scooters for the night, take them home and charge them while you sleep! πŸ’€πŸ’€

3. Juice 'em and Drop 'em

For every scooter you collect, the app will specify what time it needs to be put at a certain location by. Usually this is around 7 am the next morning.

Once you drop the scooters off, take a picture of them lined up where you left them then Lime will credit your account for your juicing job.

The perfect gig if you're trying to wake up early and not think too hard.

TIPS FROM YA BOY πŸ‘€

  • Be safe - it will be night time. Don't go into bad neighborhoods.

  • Go for the scooters that are all near each other - sometimes there will be scooters  that pay more because they're further and harder to collect. These probably aren't worth it - time is money.

  • Sign up for all the companies in your area - this side hustle has become somewhat popular so it is competitive. If you have multiple scooter companies in your area use them. The more scooters you can charge, the more money you'll make.
