CLIP ART IS HUGE ON ETSY

You might think this is insane, but according to EtsyHunt, there are over 1,500,000 people actively looking for clip art on Etsy.

I've seen Etsy stores making millions selling clip art. And the cool part? I think you can make way better products than competitors with AI.

Here's a store called CitraGraphics that has 246k sales. I can't see their exact revenue but if we assume they sell each product for ~$4, that's just shy of $1M ($984k)!

There are over 674,753 products for sale on Etsy - these are the top 4 this past week:

If you have a keen eye you'll see all of these products aren't that old, especially the second "cool mom" one that launched 3 months ago and is already beating out competitors.

There are 17 Etsy stores fully dedicated to selling clip art on Etsy.

These are total sales for just the past 7 days... these stores crush it. If ToandMoStudio were profiting just $0.25 for every product they sold they'd be netting $47k a week. Now that's some serious numbers.

Here's your 3 Step Guide to Selling AI-Generated Clipart on Etsy!

1. Get your prompts from ChatGPT

Getting the exact prompts for making good clipart is hard. You have to know all the art styles and be extremely descriptive.

That's why we're going to have ChatGPT make the prompts for us.

I saw mental health clip art as one of the top performers so I'm going to do mine around daily affirmations.

2. Input these prompts into MidJourney

Now comes the magic!

Go to MidJourney and select “Join the Beta”. It will bring you to Discord where you can join the Newbie Channel.

From there type in "/imagine prompt:" and paste in your prompt from ChatGPT.

Sadly, I already used all my free prompts on MidJourney but to give you an idea of what it might look like I put it into DALLE-2.

I'll admit, these aren't the best, but trust me when I tell you MidJourney blows DALLE-2 out of the water.

3. Remove the background

In order to sell the clipart, you'll need to remove the background. 

RemoveAI will be the easiest way to do this.

I found this cute AI pig.

All I have to do is upload it to RemoveAI and the background is removed in seconds.

Now it's time to open up your Etsy store and get selling!
