Will this product get as big as the weighted blanket?
huge potential no one is talking about
GM. This is Work "After" Work, the PEMDAS of business. We’re the equation that helps make your wallet so fat it won’t close.
Happy Hump Day! Let’s jump in:

BABY SLEEP SACKS
I remember my first weighted blanket. It’s one of the few things the internet made me buy - and I slept like a baby.
And just like the weighted blanket there’s a new product taking the internet by storm - weighted baby sleep sacks.
#weightedsleepsack currently has ~4.3M views on TikTok and according to Google Trends, interest in this product is on the rise.
The weighted blanket market is worth $695M and is set to grow to $1.5B by 2028.
So if weighted blankets are anything to go by, this product could be the next big thing.
But why are they so popular?
A few reasons:
#1 They’re a lot safer than blankets in a crib - this is a choking hazard.
#2 Once your baby grows out of the swaddle, there aren’t too many options - until now.
#3 It keeps your baby warm, secure, which reduces anxiety and helps them sleep longer, which we all know parents need.
Now considering there are about ~10k births in the US every single day - that's a lot of kids aka potential customers 😉
Not sure how much you can make off this? Lemme show you 👀
Look up “Baby Sack” on Amazon, this is the first one you’ll see.
According to the Jungle Scout Sales estimator, this listing does around 5,280 sales per month. At $90 each, that’s ~$470k/mo… some serious money right there!
There are two businesses I think you could go after here:
1. Beautiful designs
Since this is still a rather small niche, the designs are somewhat generic. You’ll see what I’m talking about when you search for them.
Offer beautiful designs that parents actually want their kids wearing - like this:
Or allow for customized designs.
Maybe a parent wants their kid decked out in a baby sack covered with pictures of their family dog or something more subtle like their baby’s name stitched into the corner - provide that service!
And I'm not saying you need to make the product from scratch.
Think about this:
You create ‘sack covers’ that snap onto the sack and are interchangeable so when the baby inevitably makes it a little smelly (if you know what I mean) parents can easily change it out while the other is in the washer!
2. Sleep Sack Service
Now there’s one keen thing to know with these sleep sacks: the weight of it relative to the infant’s weight is crucial.
It can’t be more than 10% of their body weight — but if it’s too light, it’s ineffective.
This means that as babies grow (and they grow fast), parents will need to update their weighted sleep sack needs.
Your brand could provide this service through an app that parents can use when they need a heavier sack.
I’m imagining a one-click ‘upgrade weight’ option and it gets delivered to their door. Maybe it costs $10-$15 and on the upgrade, they ship back the lighter one for a credit on the heavier one.
Then you wash and resell the lighter one back on your site! That’s what I call a win-win! 😊
TECHY TECH
In today’s edition of Techy Tech I have a crazy scenario for you. 🤖
Picture this. You call an Uber, the car pulls up, but no one is in it. That’s right. You get in the back and it takes you to your destination.
This is now a reality in Las Vegas with the startup ‘Halo.Car’ but it doesn’t work how you think. This car doesn’t drive itself… it’s controlled by real people behind a computer screen in who knows where.
Kinda crazy right?
